Hi all,

I am looking for a secure spot to keep my 17 foot Hobie Getaway, and/or a partner / share buddy who has such a spot and would like to share access to it.

The boat is about 5 years old and currently on a trailer. I need to find an off-trailer solution due to new parking restrictions, but this is also an opportunity to get more frequent use of the boat by keeping it close to the water !

This is a damn fast boat - loves a howling 15-20 knot wind, and is big and robust - it is usually the only non-keel boat I see in the harbour on big swell/wind days in mid-winter !!!! Why waste the good weather I say !

It has 2 trampolines and wing seats, making it ideal for family pootling with 4-6 people (keeping your rear dry and comfortable!), or a fast fang for 2. It is very seaworthy, and I frequently take it out the Heads to get clear air and lots of space. It is very kid friendly.

It is made of roto-moulded plastic, so is very tough, low maintenance, and is fast to rig. With the mast upright, it's a 5 minute operation (tops).

Ideally I am looking for a patch of grass or beach protected from high tides - safe and secure. Other option could be a marina or pontoon arrangement as long as access is easy and secure.

As stated, I am willing to come to an arrangement around shared access or part ownership if that suits you better, or failing that am prepared to pay for mooring rights in $, fine wine or whatever your commodity of choice is!

I have all the gear - jackets (incl kids), beach wheels etc. Call me now and let's get going !!
