I am searching for old or unused yacht or dinghy sails in any condition.

I plan to recut and resew the sails for use on land yachts.

I will travel to pick them up and hopefully stop them cluttering up your boat, trailer, shed or wherever. Its hard to source yacht sails here in the desert, Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

If you can help me out I would be greatly appreciative so please PM me if you can help me out.

So if your old sails have been retired and you want them to live on sailing let me know.

Ben.

Just call all the local sailmakers in Perth - Doyle, Onesails, North, UK Halsey, Quantum, Extreme, Taskers, etc. They pay for large skips to throw old heaps of old sails each week, I'm sure a bit of dumpster diving can sort you out.

Excellent news. I will have to make a few calls and plan a milk run.

Dinghy sails with tapered seams are virtually useless for land yachts as they normally have too much belly in them.... Sailboard sails and Catamaran sails are the only ones suitable.

Thanks Gizmo I was after yacht sails to make the panel between the luff pocket and flat rear panel (recut windsurfing sail).
