Hi all.
I put together my own watermaker and all come great ( about 60 - 70 L/pH ). Still need to flush run new unit for next 2 hrs ( as recommended ). Looks like my constant " where i can get fresh water " problems are not there.
How ever, i read that for longer storage i must pickle with Sodium Metabisulphite. No problemo to get one from big W, but, every opinions stating that the unit mustn't let dry.
What happens after pickling ?
Should i pickle and let just dry or plug ends leaving moist ( wet ) during storage ?
Appreciate advice/opinions.

The instructions for my Spectra insist on leaving the pickle solution in for storage.
Fresh water flush then pickle and seal.

As you have seen never let the membrane dry out. Pickle and leave product in. Don't use tap water that has chlorine in it for this. Use water made from the watermaker. If you have to use tap water run it through a carbon filter first.
Flush well before you use it again.
There is a max time you can leave it pickled too.

Yep, I'm using water made by watermaker to flash after using now, later on i will pickle for longer storage.
