I've just got a 24ft Rob Legg Yatch and as it my first boat I'd like to know what's the best Pittwater location, considering all the aspects , pros and cons.



I just called the RMS and now I know all the available sites and how many people are on the waiting list, for all the Pittwater areas

If it's an RL24 trailer sailer, why would you put it on a mooring? Keep it on its trailer and launch it at Winnererremy Bay, Mona Vale.

The boat is in Cronulla. I'll apply for a rms private mooring.

Bear in mind parking cost too. Pittwater council are thieves. If I park at Church Point for a weekend on the boat can easily be $200-$300. Now park at the top of McCarrs Creek where its free and motor down in IRB. But sooner or later Pittwater council will put parking meters there too no doubt!!

We still do not know if your RL is a trailer-sailer version or fixed keel. If you are new to sailing I would advise strongly against trying to sail the boat yourself from Cronulla to Pittwater. If it is a trailer-sailer then no problem, but then you also do not need a mooring!

Hi Sam, well done to those who like chewing gum. Pittwater council is extra greedy. Previously if I had credit left on my ticket when leaving I would give it to someone coming in. Some times half a day which is $40 or $50. So the council spent a fortune on parking meters where you have to type in your number plate so you cant give away the ticket. They book the car with ticket not matching number plates. So they get double money. Disgraceful
