The navigator and crew give me a subscription each year to Cruising Helmsman.
That's been for the last 10 or so years, and thats probably around 120 old magazines.
Being the bower bird I am, I can't throw anything out! Much to our detriment!
So as it has been raining in the northern rivers for a couple of months now, I can't sail, the lawn is up to my waist, can't see the dog or kids running around, I decided to do an Autumn clean out before we hibernate for winter.
Ive come across 3 or 4 milk crates full of old sailing magazines. Mainly CH, a few Aus. Sailing........any one want them??? Please?
Postage would be an expense but otherwise happy to donate them to whoever wants the.
Anyone interested or any ideas most appreciated, just send me a PM and we'll exchange details.
Cheers

Rick,
Take them to a marina nearby.
All marinas i have stopped in have a "library" where visiting cruisers refresh their reading material on a swap basis.
I have done this several times myself, whilst cruising about.

Or donate them to the local sailing club. Port Kembla sailing club has a roaring trade selling old sailing magazines at a dollar a pop, helps club funds.

If you have September 2004 and September 2008 my articles are posted under "Myboat"....Dad would cut the tips and bits out and make his own scrapbook boat bible....sounds like you have the time maybe think about scrap booking for a new hobby?

Couple of good ideas thanks. Will check with southport yacht club and see if they want them. I was going to do the rounds of some doctors/dental surgeries to see if they need them for their waiting rooms.
Not a lot of call for it around Murwillumbah, but I am often surprised.
I picked up my eldest boy(13) from his mates the other day.....and chat to mates dad, sailor, surfer, spent time in the carribean and around coastal OZ, there are a lot of land bound sailors out there just marking time waiting for next chance to get out.
