anyone updated their GPS recently and have any suggestions?

Some swine cleaned the boat out a few days ago, and so I need to replace my GPS amonst other things.

Ideally I'm looking for a surface/flush mount GPS, around 5.5"', with internal antenna to replace my Navman 5550. Around this size would suit current instrument panel .

From what I have seen, most seem to be more fishing orientated, many with sounder. I'd prefer lower power consumption over the sounder function, as it's for a cat.

Any models you are happy with, or steer clear of?

May look to interface to Raymarine autohelm eventually.
thanks for any suggestions.

Ideally one that explodes and takes off hands and faces when someone tries to steal it.

There is a new range of Raymarines that are touch screen in stock at Whitworths lately. Worth a look and technology is getting cheaper all the time.

thanks Cisco, I actually thought the A65 the most suitable also.

Size is ok, does not draw much more than the Navman.

I'd be interested if anyone had experience with these, as they are fairly new on the market.
