Yes, I would say it's going down the right side hose. There should only be enough rotation to go from one to the other so it should be self evident from the range of movement (unless it's stuck )

True BGR, maybe the handle points to the closed side (not really helping am I).

Does the word at the 12 o'clock position say Flow? Looks like there might be a little arrow at 1.30 pointing to the right? Maybe when the handle is rotated to the other side the extension to the handle covers the right point arrow and uncovers a left pointing arrow, indicating flow to the left?

I'm just guessing here, but my instinct says the handle aligns with the open hose.

Take the cover off (3 Philips screws?) and take a look inside. My guess would be clockwise diverts to the left, anti-clockwise to the right, because that is how I would design the galleries in the rotating valve inside (I'm not the valve designer, but that would make most sense to me) However, you would need to see the inside the valve to be sure.

I reckon it would be the left hand side.

I've used them in the past and the handle is over the top of the closed pipe.
