Got a PM from a contributor today who said he had been talking to the Zodiac importer and retailer in Brisbane asking about how to repair a Zodiac inflateable.
The importer told the contributor that he should look up the post on the subject that I had posted on this site a couple of years ago.
Well if that is not an endorsement, I don't know what is.
However, it is not an endorsement of me, rather an endorsement of what he told me 20 years ago which I put into practise on two occasions in order to effect major repairs to two different Zodiac inflateable boats, with the repairs being lastingly successful.
The contributor had a dig around the forum but did not dig deep enough but I PMed him that I would look for it and post a link.
In the post I highly recommended using genuine Zodiac glue rather than cheaper alternatives and still do.
However sometimes one might not have the budget for that or might need to do the repair TODAY and not when the real thing arrives by courier which could be problematic as it is a "Dangerous Good".
In a later post I suggested that the next best thing and less expensive might be Plumber's PVC glue with the clear one the obvious choice.
That opinion is now revised and if you are going to use Plumber's glue, ask the sales person which colour is for the highest pressure applications and use it.
