Recently looked at an Adams 31 (1981) fin keel, on lifting bilge inspection panel there was no evidence of "bolts". My query is :- were they a "butterfly" shaped casting that was integrated into the "lay-up" of the hull or what was the configuration? Does anyone know who the builder was in that era,I believe the "moulds" changed hands several times!!! Interested in your comments!

1981....probably Seahorse Yachts in Station Road, Seven Hills, Sydney.
My family had a boat built by them in 1980 and the Adams 31 was part of their line then...choice of centre or aft cockpit.

Have a good look at evidence of the lay up of the hull...very dodgy operators...we basically had to have the hull rebuilt around the keel area because of osmosis in the first couple years.

Should have been addressed if the boat's still kicking around after all this time??

Good luck

Its a bolt on keel. Local centre cockpit version that's for sale was on the slips a couple of weeks ago. It had some minor osmosis blisters fixed. Fairly common in any 80's glass boat.

They seem to vary a lot in price. Where is the yacht situated?
