Hi, I've bought a sailing boat (dinghy) today as a project to do up, but i cant work out what sort of boat it is, it has a main and mizzen mast and is 5.4 meter LOA, your help is most appriciated. thank you. Harrienak
Looks like a heavy weight Sharpie. Used in the 1956 Olympic games in Melbourne. Morphed into the lightweight Sharpie in the early 60's. Has a gaff rig. Not as pleasant a boat to sail as the lightweight but still a lot of boat. I started sailing in these as the bailerboy about 1959-60.
