I'm sailing down to taz late september via king island and returning via Furneaux group islands. I know it's not the best time to cross bass strait, but I've got the time to weight for weather windows.

Hi Aus very keen to go over to flinders! Just starting to get some sea time up in our ketch since recent purchase and restoration! We are on Peppers York Cove Marina on the Tamar and have finally got her ready for some sea time eg. Over hauling sails, safety equipment, gps etc! Am keen to do a coastal nav course any ideas who runs them?

So could anyone give advise on a good cruising guide for Tassy I have Jacks from Banyandah and my charts will have next week im also thinking of http://www.australiancharts.com.au/product.php?id_product=745
www.australiancharts.com.au/product.php?id_product=746
www.australiancharts.com.au/product.php?id_product=753
is there any info in them thats worth buying them I probably will get the RYCT one but after comments first.

I intend to sail around from west to east from December to March so I will pick my weather and ill have the option to leave my boat in Hobart over winter if Tassy is s good as I think it maybe.

Any info will be helpful Thanks Stephen

Southern Tassis is beautiful and I don't think you will be disappointed
