I use orange ones that never seem to wear out. I would suggest any of the rubber boots, usually white, that are used in any of the food industries such as fish Coops etc.

This might seem ignorant but what are the gum boots for?
Are you planning on doing some farming on the fore deck

I'm guessing., your looking for a sea boot with a non slip sole . I used line7 but they were pricy. Whitworths have Burke Sea boots for $69 .
The white gum boots used in butchers etc have wide tread which I would not trust in a sea.

I tried a few of them on too. Left them on the shelf.

When you need to keep your feet dry in Queensland, you put your Volleys on and do a figure 8 bandage around your ankles with glad wrap.

Just checked my orange boots, they are Dunlops. My old work boots I have had for years. Bought from the coop and not cheap. Never look like slipping on the deck.

I have had good service from the Burke seaboots, always grippy on the deck, warm & dry.
When buying Volleys make sure there the ones with the "rubber" sole, there are two types.
cheers
