About 6 weeks ago someone posted an ebook up here thats supposed to be quite good. problem is it installed some search engine which i just cant shake. some of you had the same problem. what do you have to do to get rid of it?

Windows7--> Start Button --> Control Panel --> Programs and Features, find and highlight offending program, select uninstall

thanks. im on a mac, but this genio search engine isnt even an APP. i change hard drives and really think i know alot bout computers but this genio has embedded itself in my system even though my default engine is google. theres no genio anywhere to be found, but when i go to google something it goes to genio. its a real bitch cause its a rubbish search engine.

Sorry you had all that trouble, it was the link I think I had put up. It came from one of my favourite thief sites and if you are not familiar with how they work then you can sometimes have unintended add-ons attaching themselves to your machine. Quite often there is a check box that is already ticked and that needs to be UN-ticked.
