Exit Mould, the misses hates the smell but it does the trick. You have to kill the spore and I suppose it's the chlorine that manages to do that.

But if you are into natural (green living) remedies then have ago with Tea Tree Oil.

Bleach only bleaches the spores.

It does not kill them

You have to use some of the natural antiseptics to effect a kill.

Or you can do what I did and repaint after sanding the pores out!

if you do repaint, you can get 'anti mould' drops from paint suppliers, when they mix the paint.
I've used it and no mould in 2 years, or effect on the paint.

As to whether it's wise to have pesticide laden paint inside the boat, who knows....

you'd be using dampsorb already I take it?
Buy it in bulk from bunnings in big tub for about $15.00, plus a few small ones for the containers to get you started.

I used vinegar but there of to types off mold
Vinegar kill some sort and some thing else kill the others
I found this on cruirers forums Quote below
"We successfully use a 50/50 mix of white vinegar/original Listerine mouthwash". I guess it smells nicer
I think the other was borax for the other mold species
Buy a solar ventilator after you kill the mold and this will help also while you have the boat closed up.
Removing my carpet helped me a lot and vinegar killed it all the forward cabin dont breath it in when you spray as it reacts automatically with the mold and sends of a gases that makes you cough.

Remember if the vinegar does not kill the mold you have the other species of mold which vinegars will not kill

I have had pretty good success with Exit mould (or its cheaper generic brand (same stuff), spraying it on then wiping it off leaving a thin coat of the stuff on the surface. It is however total murder on your throat & lungs, you really need a respirator to use it in a cabin!.
Another big factor is I removed the curtains for washing, which took months & months.....mould didn't grow anywhere near as fast when its light in the cabin., cheers

If you are onshore or in a marina with power, spend about $300 on a dehum. Stops the mould in the first place.

Makes a huge difference to below decks.

Clove oil.

Get a small bottle from a chemist for $10.

Couple of drops in a 500 ml spray bottle that's already full of water, spray around where you get the mould and wipe off in half an hour.

Smashes the mould for six, way better than bleach or Exit Mould.

Make sure to test on an inconspicuous area first, it can leave brown stains on wood/cloth/furniture. On tiles, though, it's dynamite :)

Thanks nebbian, that's the one I was thinking of.
