Do I like adventure

Do the wheels on a Woollie's trolly wobble?

Do bears s**t in the woods?

Are the Kennedys gun shy?

Does Kermit's middle finger smell of pork?

Next question.

First pic:- Hayman Island taken from south west???

Second pic:- South Molle Island taken from southern end of Daydream Island???

Close???

Hey whiteout,

Nice photos. Not a clue about where they are but I like the look of your avatar better! Got any bigger pics?

Kermit's got FINGERS? I thought they were just sticks!

Well I am getting my boat ready to go for a quick sail to break her in (not literally) and its raining and less than 10 knots.

Guess where I would rather be?

Great part of the area to be in Tony. You don't get the bare boaters down there.

I haven't been to Keswick or St Bees. Peter, the legless guy who lives or used to live on St Bees is a relative of a good friend of mine.

Western Bay on Scawfell is a great little spot. We anchored there and had a night time beach BBQ there on our way south some years ago.

Have you been to Middle Percy lately? If so, what is the current situation there regarding visitation and the "Hilton"? I had heard the lease hold of the island was in the hands of some fairly unfriendly people since Andy passed away. I hope that is not still the case. I have some very fond memories of the place.
Cheers Cisco

Cisco,

I went to the Mackay Yacht Club St Bees BBQ and met Peter there with other sailing friends an extermely enjoyable evening was had by all.

The Percy Islands are being fixed up by volunteers and the new lease owners all is well from the stories I hear from crusing yachties passing the area.

all the best,

Anthony

I have a smile just as wide as yours now because I have just bought this boat at a very low price. It has a mast and boom and 8 sails but the mast is 4 ft shorter than spec. I will either sleeve it and extend or get another stick.

"Astrid" is an English built S&S 34 in about 1971. She came first in the Summer Point Score, No 1 Division on Pittwater in the !973-74 Season, Winner of the "Dicko" Cup. I hope to have her fully operational Early next year.

Good to see you back on line Anthony. I figured you must have been out sailing and enjoying the good life. I am as green as that icon with envy.

Astrid is looking a little different from that photo now. She is minus the tarps and assorted on deck junk as well as junk below and now sits about 3 inches higher in the water.

All going to plan she should be out of the water by the end of the month. I will be a little less anxious then as she has not been moved fron this spot for well over a year. Nothing is operational and I dare not touch any of the hull fittings in case something lets go.

I am certainly chuffed with the purchase though and have gone halves with a great mate over in W.A. with her. The partnership should work well as we both have wimmen and neither of us wants to be full time sailing. Cheers Peter
