Hi everyone
I'm Matt Bryant from London, I usually go to Italy in the summer where I'm able to sail with a friend's Farr 30
I'm looking for informations about about products developed by this italian company: www.astrayacht.com/
They developed this smart watch for sailors and I would like to hear some impressions if anyone is using it or similar products

Hi Matt,

The functionality and technology of this and similar watches (eg. Suunto) are brilliant.

My big concern is with the case and the way these watches are built. My suunto case disintegrated within 6 months.
It was replaced immediately under warranty, no question asked, but the replacement watch also disintegrated in a similar manner in very quick time.

Again the technology and the functionality are brilliant but for me it is a shame that many of these products, in which I include handheld GPS's, are shamefully put together the main culprit seems to be the rubber used to make them waterproof. Check and ask how the case and strap has held up while in use.

Hope this helps.

I use a Suunto dive computer. I hope it is not going to disintegrate on me.
NEMO - an Italian company made my deck hatches and it is impossible to get original rubber seals for it in the last two years.
I would n o t buy Italian unless it is spaghetti.
