To NSW gents & gentle ladies, when not being used where does the tender for a boat on a mooring live? Just enquiring as in WA we keep the tenders on the river bank or shore nearest the boat and i would like to find out what the system is in Sydney

In Sydney (and other places, I imagine) they are usually chained or tied or just left on rocks or parks in groups. Many councils tolerate them in certain areas if reasonably restricted. I think it's informal. So, if you see a bunch of dinghies in a spot it's probably okay to add yours.
If it's nice it will get stolen.
Some councils have introduced racks which they allocate and lease but these are too few

Cool. That is the same wa even to the point of the nicest boats have the ugliest tenders. Cheers

In McCarrs Creek Pittwater we have 100 racks in which dinghy's are stored vertically and chained on. This is next to a newish ramp
and pontoon (with solar powered lights ) easy to get to and operate and costs $120 per annum.
