Looking for a longer board for extra glide as an all round surfer/cruiser. Want to use it in all wave conditions. Tossing up between jp 10.2 fusion and SB 10.5 widepoint. Not looking for that long board feel. Any opinions appreciated. Cheers

Hey grumpy cat,
Merry Christmas! I have a 10.5 starboard wide point that I loved ( it's my wife's board now!) .
Great board, versatile, good in small waves and for flat water. I also have a 9.5 wide point that surfs really well but I have dropped in size again. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with the Starboard.
It will satisfy your criteria and is a very forgiving board to progress on.
Good luck

I had that JP fusion and did not like it at all. My wife used it for flat water paddling and I tried it in the surf a couple of times.

A far better choice would be the Starboard Element which I thought is a much more stable board, good for flat water and surf.

The wide point does not glide as the rocker is designed for surf whereas the Element has a flatter rocker and flies in the surf
and cruises on the flat.
