I know the K15 is pretty quick !

The Website says the K15 has a stability rating of 8/10. Which is about right, but the rounder bottom makes it feel unstable until it gets plenty of rail in the water, then it is stable again.... DJ mentioned the "hammock swing" philosophy, if that makes sense.... rounder bottom, swings like a hammock (kind of).

But, they say the K14 has a stability rating of 3/10 !! To me, that is saying "river's only"(?), strictly no ocean racing.... (I have not paddled the K14).

For me, I think the better stability allows you to dig deep and paddle harder, and with less stability, you need a bit more concentration for holding the board flat, and a little more care with your paddle power and stroke technique (which is not necessarily a bad thing!)
