Looking at a flat water/bay chop board for myself (85kg)and partner (50kg). I ride a 9'4" board in the surf but looking at something better in the flat/chop.
The Naish Glide 12 looks good, bit wider than the 12'6" for stability but still with the narrow nose for the chop and more glide than the 9'4". I've had a bigger board before (wide nose) but the nose just smacked the chop all the time and almost stops you.
It is only for pleasure and fitness, no racing or downwinders so a displacement board isn't needed and probably wouldn't be suitable for my partner. Haven't had a demo yet, just looking at options.
Does anyone have experience with the Naish Glide 12 or any other board that would suit?
The 12' Glide would be perfect for what you want.. I loved mine and it was a great all round flat water board that you can still take in the waves or do a DW'er on.
Here's a short vid that I did on mine.... Also check out the new 12'6" Coreban.
