The new Hokua's are wicked. I have ridden the Naish Hokua boards for a number of years I really thought Naish couldn't improve on the design of the 2014 8"0 model.

I have a Hokua 7"3 and a 7"8 on order.

The boards also seem to have more float, the 7"3 is 74 litres and is nearly as stable as the 2014 8"0 which is 80 litres.

The 2015 Hokua boards have less rocker and paddle in really well, and they are super light. the 7"3 weighs only 5 kgs... I have a mate who recently switched to the new Hokua's and ordered the 7"8 and 8"3. switching from another major brand. His comment was " I want to order another 7"8 as back up - in case Naish change the design in 2016"

I would recommend you demo one... Wind Surf & Snow and ESS have demo 7"8's.

I'm just wondering if anyone owns or has demoed the new 2015 naish hokua le range and give us guys looking at buying one a review? Ie strength, stability, weight, performance in waves and everything else in between.

I'm looking at down sizing from from a 8'4 x 28 110litres to the new hokua 78x27 3/4 at 96litres

According to specs I have read on the internet they are lighter then the 2014 range and also seem to be the lightest boards this tear compared to the jp, fanatic and starboard range for volume?

Hey Dan, I received mine 7'8" from the guys at Surffx about 10 days ago. I have been riding Starboard 2014 7'4" & 2013 7'7" up until I got injured in January this year and have been out of the water pretty much of the time, got on the Naish 7'8" last week in 1-3 uneven surf, board is very stable, lightweight and appears to be strong. The extra width just under 28 doesn't seem to bother it as I have been used to boards slightly narrower. The only downside is the fins supplied, I changed them straight up and went to smaller side fins and a Kelly slater small middle fin which really loosens the board, haven't tried as a quad yet, however I have heard some people prefer that set up. I am currently 82kg normally 70-72, however due to be out of the water stacked on a few kilos, hence I would think it would float someone up to aboutt 90kgs easily. Have a chat to Jon, Greeny or Michael @Surffx as I believe they have them in stock, you won't be disappointed. They can ship Aus wide...

Hey Billy one more question how would you compare the naish 7'8 to the starboard 7'7. Is there much difference between the boards? Ie: float, performance, weight, paddling around and out /paddling onto waves?

Can anyone post pics of the rails?? I have been searching pics of the rails for at least 3 months and have had zero luck. Hoping to see them before I make the buy.
