wassup my bitches!! Oop's just broke rule 6, but then read rule 7 so it's all good.

Anyway's, No waves today, so we went and visited the only true local SUPing store in metro area south of Perth, West Oz Kiteboarding. Jason was good enough to give us some demo boards. We had the jimmy mano 9'9 and coreban performer 9'6, was good to paddle them back to back with our own boards.

I won't say much about the Mano because there's plenty reviews on them and everything I've read appears accurate. It's a true wave SUP board for experienced big guy's or the lighter weights looking for progression.

The coreban was the board that most interested us most as my friend is traveling and needs a good volume board under 10ft. We both come in on the scales around the 100kg mark, important to remember muscle weighing more than fat OK.

First thoughts are obviously about the cosmetics as that's what you see first. For me it don't matter to much it's more how it performs, but for those that care IMO you will be happy they are very appealing. The deck pad is a one piece camo design and compliments the board well, the colour range sounds good to. The board we had today was Red, I liked it and my mate brought one, lol so I guess he liked it.

OK the real stuff, the outline is good, the nose is pulled in just nicely to be able to confidently take it out in all sorts of waves. It has nice subtle little flyers starting about a foot from the tail to affectively give the rear end a narrower width to enhance turning ability which is also helped with a swallow tail. The rails are what I refer to as soft, they tapper off and look as if it would go from rail to rail nicely. These boards are 158L and it floated us no worries, coreban have done a great job with volume displacement in all the right places. Lastly they aren't the most rockered up boards on the maket, but they do have suffiecient tail and nose lift to handle most conditions. The beaut thing is it's versatility being a good for flat water paddles on those no wave days and when you want some exercise on the flat stuff. Or the family want to get involved, during summer.

Be good to hear what others think that are getting them out in the waves. I certainly will be trying to get a shot in the surf soon, I think it's safe to say I've found my next board. When I looked at Jason's new site I couldn't believe how well priced they are, full package still come in cheaper than just the board alone from all the other big names.

BTW had a look at the Rockett and Cruiser and they will be winners in their catagory to.

That's good to hear Bruce I bet it's going to be awesome in the glassy waters of Bali where surely it will be better than 1ft.

I'm going to have to hit Jason up for a go on the demo if we get some waves in the next few weeks.
