Hi all,

I got my shiny new Sunova into the water today. Board went great, but I noticed the goretex vent bubbling almost constantly for the 3 hour session.

Is thus something to be concerned about? The vent is done up tight.
I thought it maybe due to the board being on the car in 1 deg overnight, then submerged in 17 deg water...but am now second guessing myself! Any advice appreciated.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, all my previous boards have had solid plugs.

Thats ok that's how they work so it should not be a problem.

Perfectly normal Damo.
Mine bubbles away all the time. Haven't had any problems in the 9 months I've had it.
you shouldn't ever need to touch the vent. Just let it do its thing.

Be careful to never overtighten them: it will crush the O ring, and let water pass. Never touch them, as they can break easily if you grab only the top cap.

goretex vents work by letting air pass (the bubbles you see) but not the water.
