Hi just trying to get into touring and race boards,I'm 2 metres tall and weigh 116 killos,I am looking at the Amundson 12'6 by 29.5 by 5 or the Coreban vision 12'6 by 30 by 8 3/4 which of these 2 would be better.Will be using it more in the river.
I've got a Jamie Mitchell 14 & I love it. I tried my mates Fanatic Falcon 30" wide & it was alot more stable. He's around your weight too. Maybe have a look at those.
I was in a similar position. I found a secondhand Fanatic Falcon 126x30.5 and have paddled this - it wasn't easy - with my kids onboard. The combined weight was around 120kg, so I don't believe that your weight would be a big issue. I find the 126 is till a big board when it comes to storage!
