Just looking at dj's photos in the other thread and wondering what the width is at the tail. Reason I ask is I wonder if when getting into surf stance on a steep runner the raised rails would get in the way.
I didn't find that they get in the way when stepping back.. But they do restrict you from moving forward.. I found that one step back on a runner there is a nice sweet spot and the board becomes very stable and surfs well but if you move back any more and it seemed to become unstable.. but that might be something that you just need to get used to.
