What would be the suggestion for stability vs normal length ie do you ride them shorter or same volume as normal board?

ie my normal board is around 105-109l so I wouldn't know whether to drop down to a 7'7 or go 8'0 which is likely a bit boaty at 30" wide

I think it would depend on the length of board you are use to riding as litreage is only a guide....Some boards can be the same litres but be completely different...It all comes down to the rails & thickness distribution.... I don't ever worry about litres & I think too many people get caught up in it especially in the sup & windsurf industry... I can usually tell by picking it up & checking the rails & thickness through the centre whether or not it will work for me but that's from 40 years of riding & selling shortboards before litreage came around... Blame the windsurfers lol

Your custom coming out at around 125 litres?

....see above...it's 125 litres.

you need to get Jimmy to make one for us guys who like a little bit more width/volume....10 x 30 please around 135 litres would be ideal.

Hi cbigsup, yes the Destroyer will be available in "Carbon" as well but unlike other brands who do a completely different construction when they offer "Carbon" models, Jimmy's "Signature Construction" is almost identical to his "Carbon" construction so there is minimal difference in weight or strength....
The only difference between Jimmy's "Carbon" & "Signature" constructions is that a full wrap of fibreglass is replaced with a full wrap of carbon in his sandwich construction.... It's his "FULL" sandwich construction that gives his boards the strength & reduced weight...
Jimmy does offer "Carbon" models though because of people's perception that it is "always" better but not necessarily so.... I don't even ride carbon surf sup's or foil boards in any of my JL boards....

Hi KenM, the Super Frank is a small wave groveller that's fast & super stable & will turn on a dime...More like your summer board.... The new Destroyer with it's pulled in tail & rocker line will probably be a "Quiver Killer" where it is the one board that does everything....

I like the look of the 10 footer . Would like to see a rocker profile and a bit on the bottom shape . Bit of concave in the nose is a good thing . I like the tail too

It's approx 6kg but will put it on the scales today.... It has a really nice rocker through the board & punches through the waves & whitewater when paddling back out whilst keeping it's stability... My first surf was in 2-3' gutless summer waves & it got up & flew straight away....
