I would like to buy my first board to take the first waves, now I'm using a 200 L QUEST 9.8 What do you think of Naish 2019 Mana 9.5 GTW (163L)or 2019 Hokua 9.6 GSX(170L)??I weigh 85 kg (approx 190 pounds) and 5'11", I'm not a young man , 48 yrs old, meaning that I will not be doing 180's, extremely snappy topturns, etc..

The Hokua is a much more performance-oriented board with quite a bit more rocker, more pulled in nose and tail. Unless you're going to be cranking big turns, I'd recommend the Mana.

The Hokua GSX is just a rebranded 9'6 Quest from 2018, essentially it's exactly the same shape just with different graphics, at 32.5" wide and slightly more literage than the mana it will be more stable.

However at your weight the mana is definitely a viable option and in the GTW construction it will be lighter and more nimble than the GSX hokua.

The OP's 9'8 Quest at 200L is basically a Naish Odysseus which is a stable-table (I had one for my wife and it was impossible to fall off). My understanding of the 9'6 Quest is that (as you said) it's the same shape as the Hokua's - while it may have a tad more volume, I'd suggest the Mana will be more stable due to plan shape and flatter rocker? I understand 'Quest' to be the cheaper construction method in Naish across their range rather than a specific shape/model
