Has any body tried the 11'6" Hokua just wondering about stablity preformance

Most reviews seem to say that the board is fairly tippy in choppy conditions due to the narrow nose & tail & fairly low volume. DJ did a good post on a comparison/contrast between the PSH 12' gun & the Naish 11'6. Can't find the link but I am sure he will give you the link.
You can always go back to starboard....I hear that the latest version of their gun has been improved heaps

Hi,

Yes, I have tried the 11'6 Hokua.

Depending on how much you weigh it can be a good big wave chaser, cathes waves easily and holds really well for a single fin. I weigh about 170lbs and that is about the minimum weight for the 11'6 any lighter and it starts to get a bit big to handle at high speed. Anything above 170lbs will be killer.

Another option could be the 10'8 Hokua.

I have seen Kalama get some bombs on that board here on Maui.
