Hi all,

I'm looking for a new board for my partner (she weights around 67kg but you didn't hear it from me !!! ).

She won't be going near any waves (hates the surf) so it will only ever be used for flat water touring (lakes & rivers). She really likes the new 11' x 33" Naish Alana (same board as the new 11' x 33" Naish Glide) which looks like a great board, I'm just a little worried about it being to short for a touring board at 11' and how that might effect it's straight line tracking.

Does anybody have any experience with this board and if so, how does it track and what's it like for long paddles ?

Thanks Tempo2. That's a great looking board and their range is huge.

Even more to think about.....

I think 33" might be a bit too wide for decent glide. My wife just bought a JP Allround in wood - 10'6 x 30". She loves it and I'm very jealous because it's heaps nicer than my board. Very stable in flat water and nice tracking and okay glide. Only weighs about 10 kgs. Maybe demo the 10'6 Alana which is the same as the Nalu if your set on Naish.
