Hi,

I have been longboarding for many years and want to get into SUP. Went to local shop and spoke to guys there. Very helpful.

I am 5' 7" and 74 kgs. Want something i can take in the surf but also do some flat work on as well. Will be travelling around Oz soon so want a bit of both worlds in the one board.

The guys at the shop showed me the Naish Nalu series 10' 6.5" thruster. With carbon fiber paddle and leash works out at about $1700 dollars.

The guys said to steer away from stuff coming out of china as these are not quite as good quality. I think Naish are made in another Asian location

Any thoughts on these boards and others that may be worth a look?

I think I paid about $1800 for 9-5 Naish Mana, no paddle or leash. Providing that you're getting a decent paddle & leash the $1700 package deal sounds like a good price!

Can't fault the recommendation based on your experience, weight, and proposed uses either.
