Morning Ray,
I'm 120kg 6.3" - I have had a tickle on the Mana 10.6" and compared to the 10" it feels like paddling a bus with a table spoon, very thick - corky - slow !!!! I've heard of them been purchased by folks who use it to get to shore from their boats caring gear or kids and large purchases from resorts. I practiced for 3months on a Mana 10" demo and found it to be quick fun and stable (even in byron pass cross swell) Maybe try to build a relationship with you dealer and spend a bit of time on different boards before shelling out the bucks!
In case your wondering I settled on a Emery 10.4" maiden run this morning - less curve in the rails with single concave hull still to take it in the surf but the extra .4" seems to pay on the lake (need to lose a couple of kgs - ha )
All the best mate, someone wrote on this forum 'the best board to learn on is a borrowed one'
