You will find your skills will improve if you actually paddle the boards
Stinger and converse different boards. Stinger was 09 I think and had a flyer. A 9 foot board does not have a lot glide for long distance but the Converse would be good in choppy conditions for someone under 90kg.
FFS just buy one and show us some photos of you on a wave Not just near one
I reckon go the 9'1" x 29" Starboard as a do everything board. It has really good paddling speed, is loose and fast on the wave, works great in small and big surf. With the 29 width it is faster to paddle and therefore takes off earlier than the converse, and then it is so much more rewarding on the wave. Choppy conditions it is a bit less stable, but I found I very quickly adapted to it. I have also used this board for afternoon cruises on the river/flat days on the coast - you could change your fins to make it even more versatile.
I was thinking i should of got a bag of shapes from noosa, The deck pad is flat with no groves so the shapes should stick well, Just about the feet area where i stand and a diamond shape on the tail.
