Hi Jess, IMO the SUP ATX is a good board. Its not just a beginners board because you can actually surf on it quite easily if you are an experienced surfer. The 11 footer would be plenty big for you. My four year old daughter weighs 24kg and I weigh 98kg. We caught a six inch wave in choppy conditions in Port Phillip Bay and she still hasn't stopped talking about it!

The Laird 12 footer at that price sounds a great buy as well, but probably at least a foot too long for your weight. The longer the board the harder the board is to turn when you are at the lighter end of the scale. The Laird is probably an epoxy mould and therefore bullet proof, where as the SUP ATX is a fibreglass over foam product. Every body says it - try and demo as many as you can to work out what suits you best and don't let anyone push you into making a rash decision. Spending a lot of time in the water so that someone can make a commision out of you is not fun. You won't go far wrong with either of those boards, though I think an eleven footer is more the length you need, Have a look at the NSP range as well, you can get a good deal on those sometimes. Cheers Leroy
