Any thoughts on the Starboard 7'8x32" Wide point. I am thinking of getting it as my second board for sloppy wind bolwn days. I currently have the 2013 8'0 Carbon pro but when it get a little windy and bumpy its a real handfull.
I went to a Starby demo day a few months back. It was windy onshore & 2 foot. Tried the 8'2widepoint & the 8'5 pocket rocket. I'm 6'2 100kg & found the pocket rocket to be more stable overall. It had more front to back stability & felt it surfed better! The 7'11" looks pretty much the same shape as the PR, just a bit shorter. At your size it would be my pick.
