Hey Guys,
New to the forum but seeking some feedback. My new SB pocket rocket in carbon has come unstuck around hand grip. Plenty of water coming out - 1 side major crack - the other side open the whole way. Have just noticed the problem and have reported it straight away. Can water get into the core from around the handle? The board is only a couple of months old. How bad is this? How much argument should I expect?

Alas, it happens a lot, on most brands, and people often do not realize it as it is hidden by the pad.

Yes, water can get in the core. And you should try to make the warranty work, 2 months is a short time for this to happen. Especially for Starboard brushed carbon construction...

I recommend to check for this regularily: just fill the handle with soapy water, let it 3 minutes in the sun: if you see bubbles, time to repair!

Yeh I had a crack form about one week after I got it new and right next to the handle on a brushed carbon as well. But starboard sent me a brand new one no worries. This one seems fine....
