Big difference in volume. EZ 10x34 is close to 200litres, with (relatively) a fair bit of volume in nose, rail & tail. Whopper is about 35litres less volume, thinner in nose, rail & tail.

Thanks HC i was more interested in ride. In surf and stability paddling. I am actually 100 kg so the extra volume wont hurt. I did also test rode the bigger Starboard (11''2" cant think which model) but found it a bit too heavy and bulky..

I haven't been on the EZ but I'm heavier than you and the whopper doesn't float me. FWIW just looking at the two almost side-by-side on the beach at an event on Sunday (sadly ran out of time to get on the coreban, but surf conditions were a bit beyond me anyway on the day) I'd say that extra vol around the rails, nose & tail would surely make the EZ more stable - doubt you could go wrong on it & you might value the extra vol for JPA. Looks like there's a couple over your way over on the Buy & Sell.

I took the Coreban EZ 10' for a 1.5 hour demo paddle on flatwater.
At the time I weighed 122 kgs...it floated me fine and had good glide.
But it does not fit my needs in the surf department.

As to the Whopper, I have been riding the Avanti (Super Whopper with cheese)
It has performed very well in all types of surf... but it is HUGE... And I am not... anymore.
The whopper surfs well from what I have seen, but I want more of a shortboard feel, something I can drive harder but still has the float.

I am down to 106 kgs and I am waiting for my new Fanatic Allwave to arrive.
I will pick either the 9'2 at 160 ltrs or the 9'6 at 174 ltrs.
It seems to be the best performing board for a bigger guy who surfs well.

The Allwave is fairly wide at 31.5" or 32" respectively. They have width at the nose and thickness on the rails for stability... but EVERYONE says they surf and paddle extremely well.
My research also found them to be very well built and pretty light.

Anyway... they are worth a look. Ask Paul.J on this forum... and search Allwave here... lots of interesting discussions.

got to agree, the allwaves are great stable boards that paddle well and surf really well. Ive got both the 9.2 and 9.6 . at 106 kg i prefer the 9.6 but both are great for 100kg plus surfers.
