How more unstable is the naish 8"3 vs the 8"8

I'm about to pick up my new naish but somewhat undecided on the right size still, I'm decided on a 8"8 but it seems at 90kg this is considered a very big board

but I'm weary the 8"3 at 10litres less is a big drop

very confused , especially when I see guys rigging little minions at 119 litres and over 90kg

I have the 8.8 and my weight is 86 kg, surf windy conditions mostly all the time, I like the stability and I think you wil be suprised by the performance.

You will never make a decision if you listen to everyone on this forum. Everyone has a different angle on things and above all different skill levels.
Only you can ultimately asses your skill level for where you want to ride and which board is right for you.
No one can make the final decision but you and the best way to make this decision is to strike up a relationship with your nearest Naish dealer and get some face to face advice. As we have discussed, if you are unsure, always go for the bigger board.

Ok, if I go on the views of others, and I guess I do.. I will go for the 8"3 as I feel the 8"8 at 88kg will prove a big board after a month

most of you that are int riders say the 8"3 and it's as stable as the bigger board anyway

at 88kg and very much early int rider I'm thinking the 8"3 as recommended !

The stability is in the width of these boards so easy riding I guess, so choosing a size comes down to rider weight I guess
and as mentioned 88kg the 8"3 has ample float

my main concern from first post was the ample stability for a early int rider in choppy conditions and wind, side chop etc

but at the end of the day from what I can tell those that are on the 8"8 are very large boys

I have been on the X32 8 ft 3" for about 10 months, one of the first in OZ. I moved down from a 8ft10" WP and had no real problem, I weigh 85kg and would say I am an intermediate SUP'r. Perth is usually quite choppy especially in summer but the x32 is stable enough but there is a LOT of nose rocker and its quite drawn in (thankfully) and this probably makes it slightly less stable than an average 130 ltd board I guess. I hear the 88 is super loose as well so I am thinking you would be happy on either board.
