Ok folks. Last question, I promise

would like to know the performance opinions between the naish 9'5" hokua and the jp 9'6" surf.

does anyone have any experience with both of these boards??

just had a jp 9'6" for a couple of days and liked it but cant get my hands on a 2014 9'5" hokua

Sorry, I haven't surfed the JP, but....I own... and really like the 2014 9'5 Mana.

IMO....I would consider the JP Surf to be a much higher performance board than the Mana.

If you liked the JP, you probably wouldn't need or appreciate the extra volume and width of the Mana.
