any suggestions for the mix,,, only going to use it for surf.

I have a Starboard carbon enduro for sale if your interested, it's pretty long at the moment but can always cut it down.

Try my quickblade next time you see me they are outstanding.

Quickblade 100 paddles well.

the quickblade peahi paddle would be worth a look. Towball & I both in love with the Jimmy Lewis peahi paddle which is modelled on the quickblade profile. Is a longer blade with lots of volume. I've given up on using the JL peahi version in the surf coz I keep snapping the blade at the narrowest point. Towball must be gentler coz he's had no casualties.
The original quickblade carbon peahi paddle could be a winner if you wanting to engineer powerful strokes
