G'day im thinking of getting the 8'3 LE Hokua after loving the 8'10 so much. It's to replace my old JP surf 8'2. My question is how stable a they? I'm fine on the jp as long as its pretty clean

How many litres is the 8'2?
My 8'3 is 100L and may be similar shapes to the JP (high nose and tail rocker, pointy nose?).
Turns great and speed DTL. Can be little slow paddling around due to rocker and volume but punches over white water nicely. Nose rocker also really helps with late drops(!).
I'm 65kg and it's a great one board quiver for me. Stable in all conditions unless really onshore waves, but I don't think I would call it a stable board.
IMO feels like way less volume and less corky compared to a starboard 8'5 106L I used to own.

I don't know if you would want to replace the JP, could be a very similar board to the Naish?!

I'm 65kg's and it's a little too big for me. Very stable. I used to use it in all waves with great success, however, now I like to use it as a semi-gun only. Like hanzaa1111 said, a great one board quiver.

a friend broke his first day out in 3 foot surf and they would not warrant it...
