If you can get a cheap s/h one in good condition they are a good board for lightish paddlers who want a fun allrounder with a slight leaning towards the surf.

I'm also toying with the idea of buying this same model. Anyone know if they are suitable for noseriding?

The 9.11 walden is a very good noserider (for a sup) and every starboard Ive owned also noseride extremely well, as does our new JP 9.9.

I have just received my new Walden 9'4
Its a great board , paddles well, takes good drop's on takeoff and nose rides way better than i would have thought.
Had 4 surf's now and i am loving it more and more

i'm keen to hear how the 911 trims & rides away from the nose ... i guess it depends on the line / level of the so called step rails & how they profile to a hard bevel at the tail.

I had a quick go on one yesterday and loved it :) Nose rode the first wave I caught and I've never nose ridden before (I'm 70kg, maybe that's why it was easy?). It paddled really straight, especially considering the guy had a quad set-up. There is hardly any rocker in the nose. I think with the right fin set-up it would function very well as a long board.
