Go back 50 odd pages and you'll find something posted by me.. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=35074

I had one and liked it until I used it in choppy conditions and found the 28" wide with slightly stepped rails a little tippy for my 90kgs and 50yr old skills.

It would be great for someone under 80kg I reckon.

Naish 10'6" was my first SUP - I'm 75-80kgs.

It was a good board to learn basics on - it's a bit of a barge in decent surf over a couple of ft, but it's still do-able.

The 10'6" goes best in small-medium sized surf, a good board for cross-stepping, nose-riding, heli's etc - longboard styles.... Just put the right input in, get on the tail, be patient & it turns - it goes straight really well!

Paddles nicely on flat water - it's got some good glide

Goes OK for a barge GO.

Not really interested in a SUP that rides like a short board-I have dozens of short boards (literally) so looking for something more mal like which is surfable (1-4 feet-after that back on the 6'1") but also paddles OK for some short distance stuff (few kms).

I'm about 78kg (and counting )

Im in the same boat as "Glass off". I had a 20 min try on a 11,2 Star, got hooked and then ordered the 11,4 Naish. A 10,6 turned up by mistake so I kept it anyway

Goes great in small to medium surf but im still able to keep pace with the 11,2 star my mate rides paddling out to the outer reefs where most of our waves are.
I cant compare it to anything else but Im havin a blast on it so far.

yo loco

ive had a 10'6 for over a year now

and a few other smaller boards that i ride more often now

and the 10'6 is great as an allrounder styled board

i still drag it out for a wave or two just for the hell of it

stands up to the punishment as ive surfed it from 1/2 a foot to over 12 foot

plenty of second hand ones floating around out there

rock on dogman
