She's a beauty.. Just adding 2" will make it 26" wide.. That's a good width for a board that long.. It's going to be a lot of work but it should work...I think.

Excuse me for my ignorance but how would you add 6" to a board like that?

Do you just layer fibre glass in the middle?

For all the work of cutting the thing in half I wonder whether you might be better off starting again and making something like the LSD's 20 footer that DJ and I had a go on yesterday but maybe with some nose rocker.

The other option is to try some outriggers like the ones from Huki www.huki.com/ It would be pretty easy to shape some foam up and glass something like this to try. If you got it right and most of the time could balance on the board as it is you would have a rocket!

Or - cut it in half, glass up the cut edges and glass in some carbon tubes and turn it into a standamaran

Does seem a pity to cut up a beautiful thing like that board though......

I am inclined to aggree with Jonathanc.
Would be fun trying to stabilise it without taking a chain saw to all that lovely carbon.
Try your own verson of a Huki.
Huki have told me their stabilisers need work...a little more capacity.
Very easy to shape up a pair of floats from EPS,(no need to glass) & make the beam from a lump of 90x35 or whatever, duct taped to the rear of the board to see what will do the job, then go from there. If you want to make something proper contact me I can give you a hand.

ps ignore the Huki float shape & look a trimaran yachts, you want a shape that is resistant to pushing into the water, try a canoe shape, & the existing 20" board width will have more stability than a Huki, so beam can be narrower.
It would fly & it would be ok in small waves down wind.
When or if you refine it, have the floats setup so when you paddle, the float on the paddle side will be in the water & the other out. The board will be slightly rolled to the paddeling side. The drag on one side of the board will cause it to have less yaw...all good for speed to point B.
