Hey Guys, I guess they are thinking that the south coast is going to get swell from the systems up here in Queensland. I hope you do as that part of the world has some classic breaks. I live at Yaroomba on the Sunshine Coast, near coolum Beach, and the conditions here this morning are near cyclonic. North East winds approaching 100km/h, rain and the threat of tornadoes. The ocean is a washing machine with big swell but no direction and large surges.
In 25 years of living here I have never seen anything this bad. My house is closed up, sea kayaks are strapped to their racks, stand-ups are under the shed strapped together and to their racks. My daughter just added glass insurance to her car because she is worried about a branch breaking her windscreen. For the first time ever we have put together an emergency kit.
I really do hope you guys get some good swell in the protected areas, I also hope we don't hit too hard.
What's it like on the Gold Coast - Mac or Lacey?
ET.

Not good just mild wind and a heap of rain although the experts have us on alert as too the sunny coast and brisbane for some wild times ahead. Maybe cow bay has a wave ?Its about the only place I can think of that could be do able.Just as well I'm not from WA,I'd get shot for the secret stuff

Stay safe peoples.

Could be surfing Neilson park in Syd Harbour tomorrow if we're lucky. Fingers crossed.

No need to wait for tomorrow, there have been some great waves at Maroubra all day today with mostly calm/offshore winds. Scored many waves including some decent overheads that were screaming.
