Today I had my first successful SUP surf session, at Point Roadknight. I was just playing around in the smallish waves, but at least I know now that I'll be able to master this with a fair amount of practice. It's fun! Now I just need a better wetsuit for the coming colder months. I plan to continue through winter.

Good one John...btw..I've got through the last couple of Winters SUP'ing with just wetsuit shorts under my boardies..and wetsuit vest or long sleeve top under a T shirt.

No...is that what kite'ers wear?...

I'm just not a fan of wearing a wetsuit while SUP'ing..unless it's really freezing..or falling in alot..I was talking about..'flat water paddling'..You keep pretty warm paddling.

Of corse SUP'ing in the surf in Melbourne would be freezing during Winter..Then I'd have my full steamer on for sure because I'd be falling in all the time..

SUPing in the surf in winter in melb - that's what I'm talking about, and I WILL be falling in a lot. I'll be getting the steamiest steamer I can get!
