Yeah, I noticed the pin tail on the pictures. The biggest thing that caught my attention is that the 2009 is 10cm (3.93 inches) thick. Compared too, if I am not mistaken, 12.6cm (4.96 inches) thick for the 2008? if so, What I was wondering is how this affects the performance characteristics, etc... obviously less "floaty" on the 2009 and more loose in the surf but I wonder if the surf/flat-water-paddle trade off gets lobsided by shaving off a whole inch in thickness.... (i'm 81kg)
Anyone actually ride both models? What do you think?
