Hey guys,

Just wondering for the Merimbula Classic - if anyone knows what the dates will be? From what I have gathered it's the last weekend of November?? So would it be 30th November & 1st Demember??

It's more for planning purposes :) As there is also the Canberra 24 hour paddle on the weenkend before that so hoping they don't clash :)

Any info would be great!!

As per 2012, the Melbourne main SUP event, The Melbourne SUP Regatta will be run by SUP VIC at Sandridge Beach, Port Melbourne the weekend after Merimbula. This will be held on Sunday December 1. Traditionally it was the Great Melbourne Paddle but we are this year running an all day Regatta with a Survivor Series of races plus demos, kids races, exhibitor tents and FUN!

We like to run this the weekend after Merimbula to allow those traveling down the coast to continue south and take on the Viccos.

If you go onto the Merimbula Sailboard Club's website the dates are listed for the event for the next 10 years. The boys plan ahead.

what about The Dirty Tree, moving ahead this time into the future, stupid humans have cut down all the trees around Merimbula, except for one really big tree and this really big tree is DIRTY on humans. the picture shows the dirty tree now very angry its got no tree mates left reaching down toward the coast randomly picking out kiters, suppers, windsurfers and hurling them indiscriminatly out to sea.

thankyou pgc, but you carn't have any. also emailed the concept to john smythe and he ran it past stan squire. both think it should work so there you go folks sounds like its gunna be THE DIRTY TREE.
