Yet to find anything that performs like C-Drives

Interesting approach. I will be interested in the data when published, to see if the gain is 0.01% or 10%.
Also, they may only work in perfect waves :-)
Seriously, I now use only mostly Quobba fins, but they really shine at high speeds: Nothing beats the C-Drives for the "kick in the pants" acceleration at low speeds: on take offs, re-entries, plus a lot of grip while padling. In Hossegor waves, with my fast boards, the Quobba work overall better, but I could prefer the C-Drives in other conditions and with other boards.
I am dreaming of the ideal fin: a Quobba fin with a wider base like the C-Drive, plus perhaps some Crinkles at the tip? ... and in the FCSII system... but I guess patents will prevent this to happen.
colas, you better patent that last fin paragraph you mentioned before somebody does
I'll place my order now for those fins !!!

So Colas what do you actually think about the "Crinkles"?
I have also had some interesting waves on the quobbas as a quad set-up :-)
C-drives appear to be a bit sluggish / stiff to me, maybe I am too spoilt now.
I still prefer Quabbas now,
Second would be H2s (on a short board mainly) & H3s (Nexus), and any good quality stiff raked well made carbon composite fin :-)
So Colas what do you actually think about the "Crinkles"?
I think the design has value. That is not the first study I see that imply that it works.
However, by how much? For instance, winglets on the tip work. But I bought fins with them, and as the fin itself was not great, globally the fin was worse than a good traditional fin.
So, although "Crinkles" should be beneficial, whether a fin with them is worth buying is another story.

Ok Colas I see what you mean :-)
