Dropped in to the factory I rent some space with today to see a new 8'6 x 28 x 4 1/4 Round tail stringerless Bamboo veneer top and bottom board that was 6.9kg before sanding.

This will end up around 6.5kg and will be indestructible. I can't wait for my test ride on this one........

Dan McDonald is the shaper he does boards for DMS, Honolua and C4 also. This was the first Bamboo he has done and reckons it was not too much extra work and already knows how he can make it easier to make and lighter if he needs to.

Disc: I do not work for Dan, I just sublet storage space from him for my business and get to see some of the most amazing boards I have ever seen. Like a 4'11 Simmons for Dane Reynolds to ultra cool Single fins with amazing resin tints all of the way to SUP's. One of the nicest blokes I have ever met also and a true craftsman.

Fair call Noely.

Nothing is indestructible in the ocean. You know me, always excitable. Like saying "I had the best surf ever' or 'the best food I have ever eaten'

The board is light though, and just as above yes add some fins and grip or wax and it might end up 6.7kg or something, but that's still very light for a board that wasnt originally built to be stupid weight. It has a 2 x 4oz and a 6oz either side with a 3mm compressed Bamboo veneer after all. Chase weight reduction with these schedules and you will get them.

I'll get some pics when I get to ride it. It looks good with the white rails and bamboo insert finishing just at the top of the rail.

P.S Sorry one thing I did forget to mention here and my favourite thing of all time. Fully CUSTOM! It could be the (Insert your name here) Model.!!
