Today Oliver and I went down to Crunchies at Point Leo to get a few waves left over from the weekend swell.
I wasn't really driving that fast at 6am to get there.. Honest..
We got there in time to see the sun come up.. It was glassy and warm (ish).
The sun looked great as it raised above the morning fog.
Oliver was first in and we paddled out to the point where we had great knee to waist high waves all to ourselves.
We saw someone surfing over at Suicide and it ended up being Paul Trigger (Phil's brother) and we surfed together for a while.. He was on a long board and surfing well for an old bugger..

Oliver and I paddled at Suicide for a while but once the big suck rocks appeared we moved back to Crunchies.
We were about to head back in when out of the water jumped these dolphins.. Really high into the air (at least 6') like they were putting on a show for us.
I've never seen that before other than at Sea world.
We soon had dolphins surfacing around us and one mother and calf swimming perfectly side by side with each other.. What a great way to end a great SUP.
